Elements of Art
Space
I chose the hallway to show space because it shows depth. The things get smaller as you go farther down the hall, which gives the sense of depth. It shows some three dimensional objects that add to the hallway and space.
Color
For Color, I chose a piece of artwork that was being displayed. Its a blue color but uses different colors of blue that represent color. It starts with dark blue and fades to a lighter blue and then to an almost white type of blue.
Value
I chose the stairs in the commons because when you stand at the top of the stairs, especially with the flash on, it gives the stairs value. They start white and grayish, and turn into a dark blue or gray.
Texture
For texture, I chose the rock wall. The rocks have a rough feeling when you touch them and the cracks and rough edges also add to the bumpy texture. From the picture you can already tell how rough and bumby the rocks will feel.
Form
I chose these three water bottles for form because you can see the that they are three-dimensional and have some raised edges but also smooth textures. In one of them you can see the water that fills the bottle.
Shape
I chose the tables and the chairs to represent examples of shape. They are all circles or half circles. The pieces connecting the chairs to the table are also shapes and so are the tiles that are on the ground.
Line
To represent line, I took a picture of the lines that are underneath the hamburger place in the commons. These alluminum lines are straight, vertical and symettrical.
