Portrait Lighting
Front: For this picture I took the light source we were using and placed it at the front, near the camera and I. It light up her entire body and face. There was some shadows around her nose and mouth but other than that, it is decently lit up.
Side: For this picture, I placed my light source on the left side of my model's body so that the left side of her light up and the right side stayed darker. It created a cool effect and this is one of my favorites.
Below: When I did this shot, I placed my light source right underneath my model so that it created a creepy campfire type of look. It made the background darker than the other photos. The light was really bright and it created some shadows on her body and face.
Above: For this shot, I placed my light source up and above my model. It lit up her entire body. I also put an umbrella in my light source so that it would soften the light and make her look softer. This picture, to me, looks like a normal portrait photo.
Rembrandt: This lighting was kind of difficult, but I figured it out. I put my bright light source on the left side of her body and then had someone hold my other light source, a bright warm light, on the other side of her body. I chose to reflect the warmer light off of a piece of paper so that it wasn't overpowering. Rembrandt lighting is really cool and I enjoyed trying to figure it out.
