Pinhole Photography
Pinhole photography is the first project that we did in class. We created pinhole camera's out of boxes and made a dark room in the classroom. We had to use special light sensitive paper that we could only load in the dark room or otherwise it would be ruined. For a couple of days we would play around with our camera's and test the lighting and exposure. Finally we had to choose objects for a still life photo. I used a summer hat and flowers as my still life. The background is a white piece of paper so that the objects stand out more. After I took my photo I put it through the special chemicals in the dark room and let it dry out. Then I put it through photoshop, cropped the edges a little bit, inverted the colors, changed it to black and white and added some contrast. I think if I were to redo this photo then I would try to maybe make my white background bigger so that there would be no extra random background. This picture kind of makes me think of a haunted hat. I definitely enjoyed this project.
